How do I clean my glasses?
  • All RIEDEL glasses are dishwasher safe!
  • Riedel exclusively recommends Miele dishwashers; laboratory testing has shown that Riedel glasses have an estimated lifespan of 1,500 washing cycles when washed properly in a Miele dishwasher. This is the statistical equivalent of the average number of washes during a 20 year timeframe.
  • To avoid scratches: Avoid glass contact with other glass or metal. If available use a stemware rack.
  • To avoid stains: Use soft water (low mineral content).
  • To remove stains: Use white vinegar.
  • If washing by hand, wash the glass under warm water (use detergent and rinse the glass carefully).
  • Wash cleaning towels at boiling temperature (to kill bacteria) with odorless soap.
  • Never use linen softener, when rinsing your cleaning towels (to avoid grease film on surface).
  • To polish the glass: Use two towels, never hold the glass by the base to polish the bowl as the stem could snap due to mishandling.
  • Avoid storing glasses in kitchen cabinets next to items with a strong odor, as this can taint the glass and have an effect on the wines aroma.
How do I clean my decanter?

Tips from Georg Riedel: After use, rinse the decanter thoroughly with warm water until the water runs clear. Do not use soap. No one has drunk from the decanter and alcohol is a natural disinfectant.

Is Riedel Glassware dishwasher safe?

Do not overcrowd your dishwasher so that glassware is banging against other items. If your dishwasher comes with a stemware rack, utilize it. Remove glassware after the final rinse cycle. If left in during the dry cycle, soap reside in the steam will redeposit on the glasses.

Is my credit card safe with you?

Any payment transactions will be encrypted using secure socket layer (SSL) technology. The encryption process converts the characters that you enter into code that is then securely transmitted over the Internet.

Delivery Questions

What is the turnaround time for my order?

We endeavor to ship your purchase within 3 business days of receiving your order. This 3-day period allows for order verification, credit approval and order processing. This time is in addition to the transit time required of the delivery method you selected.

How will you deliver my order to me?

All orders are shipped directly from our warehouse in Toronto, ON, during normal working hours. You have the option to choose Canpar Ground or select delivery at your cost. Please also check our home page for promotional shipping offers (subject to change at any time). 

Do I need to be at home to sign for delivery?

How do I know if my order has been received?

You will receive an e-mail confirming your order has been received.

Can I add to an existing order?

Unfortunately not; once we have received your order it will be processed immediately so any additions will need to be sent to us as a new order.

Can I order outside of Canada?

It is possible to order from outside Canada however we are only able to ship to a Canadian address.

How can I pay?

When will you charge my credit card?

Your credit card will be charged immediately after the order is placed and your credit card has been authorized.
